Caller gets past OxyLimbaugh's screeners, tells Rush "I'm done with you!" |
|
Caller blasts America's Pill... er, Truth Detector for kissing Bush's rosy prolapsed sphincter. It's up at Crooks and Liars. Rush sounded flustered and miffed.

That should happen more often. I wonder what questions the screeners ask on that show "is george bush a reincarnated christ" etc

aka Momma Chimp said to Al Franken on an airplane flight when he tried to talk to her and cracked a joke about junior? There was a hilarious section in "lying Liars..." that tells the story. Al thought she was kidding then realized madame Bush really meant it with her dismissive wave of her hand.

someone who is a ultra-right wing conservative. The caller was a freeper not a left leaning individual.

9. Rush was genuinely enraged toward the end of his rant |
|
He sounded old, defensive, embittered. He is an across-the-board sellout to the Bush Crime Family, and conservatism be damned -- and he knows it.
Sounds like he IS going to go "home" (i.e. into his living room) and pour himself a drink. Wonder what liquor goes best with a couple Oxys?...

and a wicked illegal oxycontin habit.
He cannot take the heat, or any kind of competent challenge to the BS he spews. He runs like a scared rabbit every time -- just like he ran from serving in the armed forces.

11. I listened to Rush today... |
|
...and there was an endless parade of callers who were incredibly ticked off about the Harriet nomination.
They droned on and on about how Junior sold them out and is ignoring the base. They were all expressing anger and betrayal (their precise words) at Bush's refusal to nominate a hard-right conservative.
I really don't know what is going on.
I've listened to Rush since the early 1990's. Callers are meticulously screened. Rush picks the calls that support the point he wants to make. There are no mistakes on that show. Callers are part of the propaganda agenda.
I was actually thinking today that we're in the throes of some Rovian manufactured publicity--where conservatives cry in their soup over the nominee--to give the general public the impression that Harriet is a moderate. After all, the Bush cabal understands very well that she's an "originalist" and a Bible thumper. She's definitely an ideologue and someone who would be likely to vote against abortion.
After all, Bush is in trouble in the polls. The moderates are ticked off at him and he's losing ground with middle America. Most likely, Rove and his cohorts in rightwingnut radio are trying to manufacture fake rage at this nominee, to appease moderates.
For one thing, I don't understand why conservatives would be so upset. If anything, they know very little about her. What scraps we've been able to glean--demonstrate that she's certainly not a liberal nor a moderate. She looks like part of the fundie fracas. Why this overblown outrage? Something seems off.
My guess is that the insiders understand very well that she's a fundie, anti-choice candidate. However, she has very little track record and there will be little to oppose. She'll be nominated to the SC. By the time, her radical fundie agenda is clear--Bush won't need "middle America" and his polls won't matter in the slightest. However, he'll be the savior of his bas, securing a positive place in history--as far as the fundies go.

13. I think your thinking is spot on. This whole thing is being played by |
|
the media just the way the Bush regime wants it played. If only Dems could satand united for the next three nominees (i don't think Miers is going to make it)and hold them up until Bush is out of office.

15. His screeners seldom fail, but when they do... |
|
... it's spectacular.
One of the greatest was the "Mega-Bartcop-dittos, Pigbooooy!" call from about six years ago. Bartcop should repost that legendary call -- the loathing in Rush's voice after he hung up on the caller is an audio panorama into the dark void that is OxyLimbaugh's soul.

right now, that he want's another Mommie on the court. I think it's always that simple with the chimp king.
The cons are right: They have been betrayed. He lied to everyone. He promised everyone, but, he never had any intention of taking care of anything but his own fanny.
The only part I can't understand is why these conservatives ever thought he would repay their loyalty with his own. With hs Daddy's name, he's never had to make good on a promise, with the exception of cronie appointments.

Conservatives feel "sold out."
Infiltrate their blogs/discussion boards and talk of the virtures of the constitution party folks. We can have our own "third party effect."

19. It could be ploy by the White House to look moderate |
|
So they nominanate a sealth candiate which they know will upset the right wing because the wingnuts are afraid of another Souter. Bush looks moderate which may bring up his poll numbers (although I doubt that it will).
Then Miers gets on the bench and starts ruling like the female version of Clarence Thomas. Bush can just stand back and say "she wasn't like that when she was my consul. Who knew?". The wingnuts are appeased and there's nothing anyone can do about it.

22. Bush has no choice at this point |
|
• Frist's little HCA SEC problem • DeLay's indictment, which is tied to... • ... Jack Abramoff's meltdown • And let's not forget Treasongate and what could well be the indictment of a slew of Executive branch playas -- and maybe even Big Time Dick and the McSmirkster himself (one can hope)
There's no Cheneying way that Boy Flightsuit can nominate a Priscilla Owen or a Janice Rogers Brown. So he took Reid's advice and picked his own damn advisor. Sure, he looks like he's giving into liberals and moderates -- and that's a good thing. Drives a nice originalist wedge right through the heart of the GOFP.
Besides, he's going to need a close friend or two on the Supremos when he and his cronies appeal the convictions to come (heh-heh).

Hey righties, what are you worried about? You won the election didn't you.............didn't you?????? What's the matter, don't you trust Bush?
Nearly a year after the election the truth comes out. Bush's base doesn't trust him. Ahhhhhhh, poor right wingers. Where will you go now? The ash heap of history? Maybe you should give up on the politics thing, it's too dirty for pure hearted people like you.

21. Rush clearly was not on top of his game today. He was shocked |
|
by this dissent. He repeated "What are you going to do?" over and over, like saying, man, we're stuck with Bush but McCain is even worse, and "these disappointments happen regularly". But the caller really was saying that Rush sucks up to all republicans, he wasn't really criticising Bush, he was nailing Rush for being a shill. "What are you going to do?" And the caller says "I don't have an answer really, but TELL THE TRUTH I guess"!!! What a concept. Rush sounds like he needs a drink at the end, or a pop. Very enjoyable. Thanks
