Crazy Ma Governor - "Romney warns of theocracy danger" |
|
I expected an article about the dangers to America
Romney warns of theocracy danger
In remarks in N.C., says US under attack
By Seth Effron and Raphael Lewis, Globe Staff | October 11, 2005
RALEIGH, N.C. -- Venturing into foreign policy, Governor Mitt Romney yesterday told a largely Republican audience that Islamic terrorists ''want to bring down our government" and ''want to put in place a huge theocracy."
''We're under attack, as you know, militarily," Romney told about 150 people gathered at an exclusive Raleigh country club. ''They're not just intent on blowing up a little bomb here and there at a shopping mall, awful as that would be. They want to bring down our government, bring down our entire economy. They want to put in place a huge theocracy."
''Thank heavens we have a president of the United States who recognizes this for what it is and has declared war on it, and thank heavens we have a military that consists of the strongest and bravest and most able men and women in the world," Romney said :eyes:
-snip-
"Then he was asked if he felt Islamic terrorists want to take over the United States. Romney said: ''No. No. No.""
-snip-
Is this man insane of what?
Seems to me we should be afraid of religious mormon zealots like Romney! :eyes: :smoke:

He's toast and he knows it. And he ain't gonna make it in the Presidential arena either. I'll be glad when his term expires :D

This guy has been backstabbing Massachusetts since the minute he got into office. He's been spewing ever changing stances on issues like abortion and gays over time. He's an opportunist and a nut-case RW hack.

20. I admit to not knowing much at all about Mitt Romney, |
|
so I have to ask: how on earth did he get elected in a state as liberal as Massachusetts?

I live just north of MA in NH and one of the few good things that happened on 11-2-04 was that we threw over our twit of a repuke governor, Craig Benson, for a Dem. How did MA end up with Romney?

Tue Oct-11-05 09:06 AM Original message Romney warns of theocracy danger http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=102&topic_id=1841604&mesg_id=1841604There is quite a lively discussion going on. A comment in the Massachusetts forum would also appreciated - http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=158x6900 - it's very quiet there today.

This fellow is just plain silly - as if he doesn't understand that everything he says is documented for all time. He's a small thinker shooting for a high post...

Between that hypocrisy and his taking back of his comments within minutes of making them - he has to be considered a completely unreliable person - he has to base to him. He would say anything to please anybody - he can't make it far with this amount of hypocrisy.

It is good when it is your religion that creates the theocracy. It is wicked when it not your religion that creates the theocracy.
Very simple. If you have a lobotomy, that is.

His whole aim since day 1 was to turn MA into Mormon paradise. It's a good thing the Dems control everything and keep people sane.

18. And He Walked Out The Door With 35K...Thank-You Very Much |
|
Welcome to feeding the lions at the zoo. Throw 'em the red meat and give 'em something to get all mad about.
This is typical Repugnican boiler-plate bullshit that is being said in districts all over the country...the silent campaign that attempts to keep the remaining supporters on board and "energize them" (translation: get out the check book).
The lunacy of Romney's bullshit aren't really worth commenting about as they're so far from reality and with no facts to back it up, he mights as well have said Martians and it would have had the same validity.
The money game within the GOOP is on...with no one annointed by this regime or with the massive organization the BFEE has...we're seeing the fringe candidates coming out and trying to "connect" and shake a few dollars loose in the process.
