If Fitz wants to cast a bigger net or uncover deeper crimes... |
|
couldn't he still hand down indictments AND convene a new GJ to pursue more indictments? Might that not also give him some good leverage on some of the smaller fish to help land the big one?

But it is easier to get people to roll on one another if you have all the facts and indict with a complete picture of what has happened. I am a little familiar with Mr. Fitzgerald's work. From what I know of him, he is very bright, an excellent attorney and a superior tactician. I am willing to wait because I'm sure his reasons for conducting the case the way he has are based on sound judgement.

gives the repubs more time to wiggle out or spin this so nothing much will happen.

4. Spin doesn't help much after an indictment |
|
(despite recent attempts of Delay's)
If there are indictments you have to spin the jury. That's a lot harder than spinning the media and those who watch the media.
It will be a whole new venue if it gets to a jury.
