2. Rocket Queen is my favorite track... |
|
It's like two songs in one, and both of them kick ass.

You a masochist or something? :-)
(I think you can guess I'm no fan of Guns & Moses.)

I think it is a great album. Axl is a prick, I will admit though.

7. Slash is a really good guitarist |
|
So why he ever hooked up with Axhole Rose is beyond me.

8. Maybe you should check out the new Velvet Revolver album. |
|
He, Duff and Matt Sorum team up with Scott Wieland. I listened to some of it in the store. Sounds quite interesting to me.

9. Slash is definitely great. |
|
As for Axl, he has been regarded as one of the great frontmen. He is a jerk and he Cheneyed things up pretty bad in the band but when they did Appetite they were onto something. That band could have been as big as The Stones or Led Zeppelin if Axl didn't let his ego get in the way.
I also heard that Axl wanted to re-record Appetite, which I think is sacrelige.

6. For a couple minutes there, G'n'R were really on to something... |
|
...but it sure didn't last. No doubt they could play kick-ass rock, but Axl was just wrapped too tight to keep the dream alive. Then smack and booze took what was left of their initial promise. But them days (late '80s/early '90s) are gone forever. For better and for worse.

10. That was my favorite album back when it came out |
|
I played the hell out of that thing. I had it on both vinyl and tape. I think I was about 15 when it came out and they were my introduction to the world of hard rock. My tates got heavier after that, but that album brings back a lot of memories.
