I nominate Christina Milian. Her voice is so annoying.

Now he's "crooning." Croaking more like.
But someone seems to love him. I hear his concerts are nuts.

recording those wonderful old standards for his "American Songbook" records. He is NOT a crooner. Why those records have been selling so well is beyond my ability to comprehend. I'll take the old recordings by the old stars, thanks.

18. You know, a lot of people who are listed here.... |
|
...actually have very good singing voices; it's just that their music sucks. I mean, come on; Celine Dion has a terrific voice, even though I hate her music.
However, even among the "bad" singers, none of them are as craptacular as Macy Gray.

I love Dylan. But he's the most notorious singer. I find his craggy inability to sing quite stimulating. There are many who can't stand his voice, though, which is a shame.

Abstractly, I agree with you... his voice and singing is technically crappy. And yet it works...
For you, I have compiled a list of voices I :loveya: , but whom others, with less acclimated palattes, would find grating:
Tom Waits Howlin' Wolf Louis Armstrong Bob Dylan Tori Amos Jay Farrar Tom Petty Bill Monroe PJ Harvey

37. Ja Rule trying to sing |
|
Edited on Tue Dec-07-04 01:09 PM by Champ
Not really singing but there is a couple songs of his where he raises his deep, gruff voice trying to be an R&B singer, it hurts your ears! It sounds more like one of the rejects you would see coming out of an American Idol tryout. He is however an above average rapper but a terrible singer who shouldn't even try to sing.
