Lost two uncles last week |
|
My Uncle George died at the age of 82 of cancer, and my Uncle Hal died suddenly at the age of 63. Uncle Hal's family isn't having an autopsy, and I can respect that. I will miss Uncle Hal's e-mails and baseball talk. He was a huge St. Louis Cardinals fan.
Wish I could be stopping by with good news, but it was a hard week.

I lost my Mother back in July. Life has some surprises, and some of them are unpleasant. Edited for a bitter comment that didn't belong here.

Condolences to you, I know you'll miss them.
Same sort of thing happened in my family a while back, when all the older generation died off in just a few years. The worst thing is that the memories they have are lost forever, and most of us realize much too late that we didn't ask enough questions of them, of what their life was like, what they lived through.
My husband's parents are in their 90's now, and not doing well. We did do a lot of that kind of questioning when they were still quite cognizent, and are very glad.

I share your grief. I only have one uncle left myself, and he has Alzheimer's.
