Yawn Hold nose and blow Drink a lot of water and swallow Cry until it pops
I've found that if I use Xlear nasal spray (organic stuff made from xylitol), it keeps my inner ear clear and my ears don't pop as much. You might want to get some for next time.

3. I hate to say it, but I had that cold awhile ago |
|
It started with the clogged ear thing and progressed slowly downward to my chest over the next 4 weeks. Hope you feel better, because that bug sucked.

Or if you don't have one, boil some water on the stove, remove it from the heat, and breathe the steam through your nose for as long as you can, up to 10 minutes, with a towel over your head to get the maximum benefit. Repeat every couple of hours.

Rrrow! Pffffst! Nyaah.
No, actually, that happened to me once after a combo of flight & bad cold. I was deaf in one ear for about three days. Then all of a sudden, it was like the floodgates opened. What relief.

19. I bought some Triaminic chewables for kids at Walgreen's drug -- |
|
Edited on Thu Apr-07-05 12:24 AM by Radio_Lady
They had a plastic card with a picture of the Triaminic box hanging on a hook. You had to take the card to the cashier to get the REAL THING. Just like cigarettes and other narcotics!
Wonder how you get meth from Sudafed? (Don't tell me -- I could care less, really...)

18. Q-tips are NOT recommended! |
|
I just had a meeting with my otolaryngologist (ear doctor). He said that Q-tips just drive impactions deeper into the ear!

21. if you dip the q-tip in h2o2 first... |
|
and put in gently, while spinning it slightly, it will help "melt" the wax...I'll bet the dr. said that the best way to do it is to come into his office and have it done "professionally" (i.e. at your expense and their profit).
