Ho-hum...just another SoCal 4.0 earthquake... |
|
This morning at 4:06; 12 miles ESE of El Cajon in San Diego County (about 14 miles from us). Suprised there's no post on DU anywhere yet, especially with all the InSanDiegans around. No damage reported; this was apparently just a quick, sharp slip type jolt. However, the reported "strength" of the jolt was felt harder about 50 miles away than it was around the epicenter. (Probably because the distance we were at, there wasn't enough of a wave pattern devloping to start the long-term shaking...)
Anyone who says animals are psycic don't know ours. The quake woke everyone, even the bird up - who only started yelling after the kidlet decided to wake up about 30 seconds after the quake, yelling, "What the heck?". My Moggy cat tried burrowing under the covers afterwards for comfort - probably because he and his brother William T Bear had eaten all the kibble.
Well, that's a good early-morning wakeup!
