I can't imagine a bear sitting there watching the ice melt around it. I guess it coulda floated out a ways.

They have to swim much farther now to get from ice floe to ice floe. Sometimes they drown. :(

You can't just paddle up in a boat and offer one a lift, unless you want to be killed and eaten. You'd have to tranquilize it first, and in that situation it would drown.
We can only save them by saving the planet.

I have never though of that. What I DO know is that polar bears are drowning due to lack of ice.
