How do you keep your life in check when you are in the midst of great struggle? |
|
I admire how much control you friends here seem to have over your emotions, and many other issues.

1. I guess you just keep putting one foot in front of the other |

I've experienced just about everything at some time; the loss of a long-term relationship, being fired from a job and not getting another until the day before unemployment ran out, a brain tumor that has left me with some permanent impairment, my childhood best friend being kidnapped and presumably murdered, father's cancer, the prospect of being alone forever, major financial and credit problems, but I just kept plodding along and slowly emerged into a pretty good place now. I guess the trick -- for me at any rate -- is not to look too far ahead. Not to say there aren't still bumps because there are. But somehow I just keep going.
A sense of humor helps....:hi:

2. Mike, I think that it is probably the case |

that you can't judge your insides by looking at other's outsides, and other's outsides on the internet can even be more removed from the insides they feel.
We're all human, and the answer to your question is to find something that centers you.
For me it is a spiritual answer. I have to get out of the way in a sense to find that center.
good luck!
