I don't care about tonight's debate. |
|
I never would've thought it possible, but there's a Dem debate tonight, and I won't bother to watch. May go to a movie, may rent one, may do some reading, may play with the beagle in the snow. But tonight's debate means nothing to me. I simply don't care.
Ultimately, it makes me sad. I'm a political junkie, but I feel shut out and shouted down. Hmm.
Critters just making an observation, that would have gotten my ass handed to me in two other forums I can think of

1. You know, I agree with you. |
|
I'm not going to watch it either because I don't care. Both Dennis Kucinich and John Edwards were my #1 and #2 candidates and they both are out so what's the point?

Once again, the political process has worked its magic and whittled away the candidates to the two worst. Now you have the unenviable task of getting behind the one they choose.

and corporations behind them that they won't need my money. The only positive I can see at this point.

13. The two worst---exactly--what a goodam shame |
|
I Dislike Obama a little less than the Clintons( and I can't believe anyone still thinks its not the two of them running), but am almost rooting for them because I stand to win a little money on some small money bets when she (they) loses to McCain. ( ps to agent Mike : it really is just a little)

3. I second that emotion...I'm done with the presidential election |
|
Before you all jump all over me, I'll vote for the Democratic nominee. I just don't care at all which one the nominee is.

What's the point of watching Obama and Clinton try to talk over each other again?

7. It's no longer a debate, is it? |
|
It's down to "Me!" "No, me!" with no substance.
If someone, anyone, would bring up impeachment, lies into war, corporate control, illegal wiretapping, and disaster capitalism (much less the invasion's effect upon the economy and oil prices), it might become a debate.

10. How many of these damn things are they doing this cycle??? |
|
Seems like there's been one a week for the past five years or so!
Is it must my imagination, or have there been more this time than ever before in the history of elections?

11. Well, you are certainly entitled to your opinion. |
|
however, since I am an Edwards supporter, and I haven't as yet seen ANY of the previous debates, tonight's debate is VERY important for me because I will base much of my decision of who to vote for on how they each do tonight.
I'm still really sad and disheartened that Edwards dropped out.

12. I've already voted. But even if that were not the case, |
|
I wouldn't spend a free evening (I have relatively few of these) watching the childish wing of the Democratic Party hold yet another food fight.

I will probably vote for Edwards on Super Tuesday and I will vote for the Dem candidate in November. But between now and then I don't give a damn. No need for me to pay much attention. None of the remaining candidates speak for me or represent my interests.

I feel exactly the same way. I don't care, don't give a damn, don't even give a flying f*ck. Since Edwards dropped out, I see no reason to pay attention to the poo-flinging contest. I dislike both of them and will still vote for Edwards in the primary. I don't know yet what I will do in November.

19. I'm not watching, either. |

I just got back from a tai chi class and I'm listening to some really wonderful medieval music on the radio and I don't want my mellow mood spoiled.
At some point I suppose I'll mosey over to GD-P and learn from the Hillary supporters that Obama sucked donkey balls and will be eaten for lunch by McCain, and from the Obama supporters that Hillary sucked donkey balls and will be eaten for lunch by McCain.
Whatever.
