Gonna "adopt" 2 mini long-haired doxies next week from a friend.... |
|
he has to move back East and take care of his elderly Dad.
We just blew out the wooden door on the doggie door.....guy is at Home Depot getting stuff to make sure no babies can get under the backyard fences....
Welcome to parenthood again! Scared, but happy at the same time!
Wish us luck....can't wait to snuggle with the babies!!! Leopole and Katie....but will call her Katerina!

14. Cute. I'm amazed that ours has lasted so long. |
|
It's an Electrolux canister from 1987 and has had to deal with the hair from three long-haired dogs and six cats in that time, along with the abuse from three children (now 16, 18, and 20). I can tell when the bag is packed so full it feels like cement just by the noise the thing will make. It's still going strong.
Interesting side note: With the exception of two models (pretty sure it is just 2) from the 50's, every Electrolux canister vacuum has used the same filter bag.

9. I willl most certainly post pix. |
|
The little girl only has one eye....don't know the specifics....but she can waddle outta that doggie door and bark with her little brother....not a problem....hope the neighbors are okay with it....
Actually, my neighbors are both retired and have a key to our house. I have a feeling that they will be checking on the doggies during the day when we are working.
It's all good....

13. Can't wait to see them! They really are the cutest dogs... |
|
And checking the fence is a good idea. My friend has three dogs, a lab and a spaniel, but when she adopted the miniature poodle, the little one found a way under the fence. I discovered that when I was walking my dog and she suddenly appeared to greet us!
The neighbors probably won't complain if they get attached to the dogs. As for the little girl having only one eye, dogs can learn to compensate amazingly well. And she'll have her brother as a leader. My younger dog was a kind of "hearing ear dog" for her older hard-of-hearing brother... :)
Kudos to you and I know you'll enjoy them. :hi:

warm fuzzies
Leo DID escape first thing....right down the alley....was laughing my ass off watching Mark chase him down, with Katie at his heels...
But, all is fixed now. Just can't seem to keep Leo outta the tomato garden, little shit that he is!!
I have a feeling that Mark won't be on the road as much anymore....just a hunch

meant Leopold.....duh
We have wood floors, so cleaning up will be easy, I hope!!!!
Since my guy travels alot, I will enjoy the company. And I am going to TRY to not give them snackies....although the bologna was out today!!!
Even though they are little, the babies are very able to jump up onto the bed. Ugh. Think I will have bedmates every night.
Spoiled, oh no, not us.....HAAAAA!!!
