How does the buddy list button work"

I've seen it there for years but don't know it's function.

too bad it doesn't have a little note-keeping function so you can remember WHY you listed that a**hole}(

(I think you can use it to list friends you might want to PM too, but other than that...???)

Does it send you a message when they post so you can read their latest thing? I don't know what it means.

7. Just use it as a list.

I started it when I first signed up. Sometimes screen names are similar so I added the ones whose posts I could trust to be reasonable to the list. I don't need it so much now. I use ignore light (partial ignore- can still see posts and replies) for those I don't trust.

9. well, see, i thought it was supposed to dispense a buddy whenever you mashed it

it never did that, but i figured it wasn't working because skinner forgot to refill the buddy pool
