Poll question: I really need help with my soy candle business name.... |
|
I know I have done this before but I am still having a hard time coming up with a name. I want it to be catchy, easy to remember, and easy to spell. Here is another list:
Thanks.

2. I do like the use of green. |
|
And my BF thinks I should carve out a niche, to like science nerd/scifi people, but the overlap of those people and those that by candles would be rather tiny I would think.

I'm going to be up all night trying to think of a perfect name for you because that's how I roll. Creative challenges--gotta love them. Good luck! Of the names on your poll, I'd have to go with Earth Stone Candles. It's simple and sounds "natural"---a good combination.

11. Thanks. I like the translation idea too, |

it is where I got the idea for Lucerna- lamp/candle in latin- you help me out I send you free candles. I am truly at an impasse. My BF is stuck on the science thing and I like the idea, but for a company name I don't want it to be too narrow. I mean truly the market for candles is 70% woman 25-60? I am guessing here.

13. I voted for the last option only because I love scentsations. Very clever. |
|

Not crazy about shameless. I also like Cedar Creek. My 2 cents would be just Scentsations but use Ceder Creek and some of the others to describe particular scents, even Shameless would be good to describe a particular scent such as pachouli (? love the scent but don't know the spelling) Gook Luck.

but almost all the feedback I get is negative. Either it's a negative connotation or too sexual. I think of it has Shameless as in no guilt in burning them cause they are soy not petroleum ya know? Cedar Creek Scentsations ?

20. Shameless is a negative word as it means without shame, i.e not caring |
|
what other people think. People who drive gas guzzling SUVs are shameless. The word you're looking for is guiltless. You could on the other hand divide your candles under differnt groupings, for instance have 3 or 4 scents that you market as Scentsations for wild, passionate and romantic trysts/nights, and Shameless would be a perfect name for a candle associated with illicit erotic delights. Another group could be marketed as yoga/mediation candles enhancing inner calm and balance.

(Actually, the "lent" implies lentils -- I'd go with MFM's "soybeams".)
