Anyone know how to pick a credit and background check company?

I feel like I need to do a background check on the background check. Seriously, I am giving a membership to someone who rents apartments for Christmas and I want a decent company and easy to use site.

Any help would be kept in your file under "helpful things you have done"

1. We use Tenant Tracker

We have about 45 rental homes and get good results from Tenant Tracker -- need SS#, DL# and birthdate from the customer. The results show outstanding debt, including its age and payments, plus criminal background if they have any. It also lists previous evictions.

It's not comprehensive, but it gives us the most important information -- payment history and amount of debt. If they're honest about what they earn, those things provide a great picture of ability and tendency to pay.
