Anyone here have experience with PC Audio Recording and Mixing?

I've tried using Audacity, M-Audio and now Free Sound Recorder.

I am trying to record the output from my MIDI-to-soft synths as well as output from the M-Audio input.

Audacity only recognizes the M-Audio output, the M-Audio SW won't even do that. The Free Sound Recorder won't start, gives up a Device Error.

Any ideas?

But I have used TotalRecorder for years and years and years. FWIW. Solid software for what it is, and there are addons that I don't even know about.
