My mother has an aneurysm |
|
Edited on Wed Apr-07-04 07:35 AM by Mobius
however, it is outside the membrane that covers the brain and thus less dangerous. Today she is getting a CAT scan to see if the bleeding has stopped enough, that surgery is not required. She was very disoriented yesterday, but showed a great deal of improvement after some rest. Please send her your best wishes, her name is Judy. I am now leaving town for a few days to be with her. Thank You

4. I'm hoping all the news is good news about her |

aneurysm. Sending warm and good thoughts to Judy and her family and friends.
My sister-in-law was not so lucky. SHe had two at ages 22 and 29. Both nearly killed her. Both caused varying degrees of brain damage. The first time, she had to learn how to walk, eat, talk, read, etc. all over again. Needless to say, it altered the course of her life. My wish is that no one would ever have to go through what she went through.

8. Best wishes on a speedy recovery.... |

My mom had an anuerysm, and she had other complications, due to emphysema, blood pressure, CHF, etc. It was really scary, and she did have to have the surgery, but she got through it better than anyone expected. Hang in there. It sounds like her prognosis is good.

9. You are both in my thoughts & prayers. |

They have learn a lot about aneurysms in the last 30 years. My father died of an aneurysm over 30 years ago. Then there was really nothing they could do. My mom went against most of the families wishes when she allowed the doctors to do an exploritor atopsy to see what they could learn. She told me and my sibs (I was 5 at the time) it was to help other kid's mothers and fathers. When ever I hear of someone being treated and surviving a brain aneurysm it makes me remember.
