Help me with this petition I want to send to Congress |
|
Dear members of Congress:
We have heard some of you are trying to revive the Federal Marriage Amendment. We the People WILL not accept this. Our country faces REAL PROBLEMS, and REAL ISSUES right now. Trying to appease the minority (the bigots and the extremists) rather than solve our Nation's REAL PROBLEMS must stop. If you do not stop and find solutions to our nations problems, then we will have no choice but to see YOU as part of the problem.

Dear Members of Congress:
We the undersigned have heard that some of you are working to revive the so-called Federal Marriage Amendment. Right now our country faces REAL PROBLEMS and REAL ISSUES, yet you choose to pander to extremists purely for politcal gain. If you will not pursue solutions to our nation's problems, then it is clear that you are another of those problems.
======================= Feel free to use or ignore as much as you wish.

5. Are you planning to send it to every member |
|
of Congress? Or just to those you understand are trying to revive the FMA?
My hunch is that a To Whom It May Concern letter like this will get less response than if you either target specific members, or actually use the name of each and every member you send it to.

7. Do it at the town/city level |
|
See the impeachment template at http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=106x28172, especially the end paragraphs that instruct the bodies what to do.
