Any letter or postcard campaigns for GOTV? |
|
In 2004 I participated in a Sierra Club program by which you could get some names and addresses of voters from their web site and send them postcards or letters reminding them to vote. I remember seeing at least one other similar program from another group.
Is anyone doing this kind of thing for 2006? I've been canvassing here in MO, but I could certainly knock out some handwritten postcards while I'm watching TV or whatever. I haven't been able to find anything like this. I know MoveOn has a phoning program, but I loathe making phone calls. I'd much rather write, or walk and knock.
If you know of something, please post!

1. you should check with your local campaign |

You might want to check with your local campaign to see if they have that type of work for you. I have been doing a lot of data entry at the Duckworth campaign, but its mostly phone banking and canvassing results.

No offense, but I already knew about that and even referenced it in my post. I was looking for a postcard or letter-writing effort, not a phone call effort. It's too late for letters or postcards, but I'm canvassing each day through Tuesday.
Oh well, it was worth asking.
