By contributing $60 to a particular charity, they will plant 500
young trees. That's only 12 cent a tree, including labor.
If enough people would commit to doing this once a year, it
might make a significant difference in slowing down global warming.

This particular charity helps the most needy families on earth become self sufficient by donating cows (for milk), chickens (to eat and sell eggs), sheep (for selling wool), bee hives (for eating & selling honey), and so on. They will also plant trees for fruit, nuts, etc. So if you give a one time donation of $50, a family could get a flock of chickens and a bee hive and manage to survive.
THE MOST URGENT NEED, HOWEVER, IS TO FIRST STOP GLOBAL WARMING.
Please help!
