< >Good folks in Madison, Wisconsin, decided they were not going to take “no” for an answer, even from communications monolith Clear Channel. They got organized, quickly, efficiently and loudly they made their case to keep progressive radio talk on the air waves in Madison.
The movement is buoyed by the success in Madison, and a renewed effort has begun to keep Air America Radio and other progressive talkers on the air in Columbus, Ohio. What started as a local fight in Madison, just may snowball nationally.
That is why the Dallas (and surrounding lesser duchys) Air America Groups is so important. Remember the Worst Ever Rally? The turnout was astounding. Much of that organization centered on our site AND the Dallas AAR Newsletter.
Those of you who have subscribed to the newsletter are missing a key part of the information on what is happening with our little (but growing) band to return Air America Radio to North Texas (as well as Dallas). If you don’t subscribe, please sign up now. If you do subscribe, please encourage others to do so.
Those who are able, also are encouraged to pitch in $20 and sponsor an edition Of course, you may sponsor more than one edition.
Those who cannot advertise, please make a note of who does and patronize them, or at least express your appreciation. That is how the movement will build by expanding contacts outside the inner circle.
Finally, for those of you who are subscribers and those who will, your input on the newsletter is much desired and appreciated. Please let us know what you like and what you dislike. If you are not seeing what you want, let us know. If you see something you like, please let us know. This is not a top-down movement.
Thanks for your time and a Happy New Year to you all for 2007.
