The Navy plans to deploy a powerful sonar system that severely harms whales and other sea animals up to 300 miles away... and plans to use it in over 70% of the world's oceans. The courts have already blocked global deployment of this deadly sonar system. Since then, the Navy's training with this LFA sonar has been limited to one remote area. But now the National Marine Fisheries Service is once again giving the Navy a permit and only allowing a few days for public comment. The opportunity for comment is nearly up.
