June 25th is National Sick-Out Day for Single-Payer |
|
This is a one-day general strike. Will only work if it goes viral, so pass it on.

What it needs is more play on the websites of the groups that claim to support single-payer. Other than the doctors, nurses, and Healthcare-Now!, a more mealy-mouthed group of scaredy-cats I've never seen. (My apologies to cats.) I do remember what happened when young people got the word out about anti-globalization events. 1000's materialized each time, and the unions eventually were shamed into joining in. If people use the technology they have to mass-text or audio message large numbers of friends to say that they are going to participate(stay home from school or work) and encourage their friends to do likewise, it will happen again. And Congress is easier to influence than global capitalist overlords.
