Palin's family a "Godiva" moment?

GOP says "Leave her family alone!", then she trots out all of them and talks about them all through her speech. It's more of a dare, and exposing the willingness of the media to follow, Pavlovian, the orders of the GOP ...

Isn't this kind of like Lady Godiva? Saying "I'm going to ride through town naked. Don't look."

Or, more like someone saying "put down that gun" and then waving a target that says "Free Beer for hitting this sign" ...
