To me, the starkest contrast between Biden and Palin is

the difference is so big I can't remember a campaign when two candidates were more mismatched.

while Biden tends to drone on and on.

By the time he's done, people wonder wtf the point was.

You might as well say, "the starkest contrast between a neurosurgeon and a piece of drywall is..." There simply isn't anything meaningful to say about the two that isn't patently obvious. Biden is a highly experienced and respected politician with a long and distinguished career and deep knowledge of the key issues facing America today. Palin is a "hockey mom" who probably can't name more than five countries and thinks "economy" is some strange word she occasionally sees on car rental forms.
