Well, now I've heard everything. Here in Jacksonville it's been reported that look-alike Sarah Palin glasses are flying out the door and men are even asking their wives to wear them so they'll look like Palin!!! Talk about setting the women's movement back 50 years...This is what's so dangerous about her. She represents a time long gone and we don't need to go back there. What's wrong with women? Have they forgotten the struggles we've been through just to get to where we are today? I am about to throw up.

19. I got new glasses and they're way cooler than Sarah's

Mine are mauve with rectangle frames that I can wear on the tip of my nose and look down condescendingly at republicans when they spew their insane garbage. They have little gold flowers embedded with crystal so people can tell there's a certain wimsey in my non-approving glares at their idiocy. It's really effective in intimidating people. In fact, they give me such an aura of authority, that I'm never, ever challenged. I've also learned to whip them off my face and lay them down when getting ready to make my point, makes them think I'm ready to fight.

That's what they did..."reported" on the 11 o'clock news... They interviewed the owners of the shop where some of the glasses were being sold . It wasn't a planted story. It was real. One of the husbands was even interviewed.

I have 10 yrs on Palin and I am due for a new set of glasses. I've been on the look out for something that appealed to me, just decided I am going to get a pair of aviator-like wire rim frames... as far from the Palin look as I can possible get. I have rim-less glasses now and they are wayyyy too Palin and though they've served me well for a few years, they have to go now.

I was excited about Obama, opposed to McCain because of his policies but Palin evokes the same pure revulsion that I feel watching Bush. She may be energizing the right-wing base but Palin's got me planning to go door to door in Pennsylvania and I didn't have that determination to help defeat the R ticket until she came on the scene. She's worse than Bush and we have to stop them.

I've got a Swedish grad student shadowing me this week because of an NIH research project I'm involved in. She doesn't understand why the U.S. policies "are so mean". Don't we know that our selfish choices hurt the whole planet? We talked a lot about how the whole world was with us on 9/11 and how we squandered that goodwill. I've decided if the Repubs win, Sweden wouldn't be a bad place to go live - but the consequences of American fascist policies are impacting the entire planet :-(

Sara Palin is physically attractive. It has much to do with her appeal. It is part of the Obama appeal. Let's get back to attacking her on issues. There are plenty of them and we will sound more intelligent if we concentrate on them and not on Palin's looks.
