Went to the Labor Day parade today. Got to shake Al Franken's |
|
hand and tell him he was doing a good job. Amy was there also.
Interesting side: Lady asked me if I was familiar with Emmers and I told "all too much". I also think that the man who is running against Jim Oberstar - Cravaack was breaking the law. He had a US Army truck in his parade unit with signs plastered all over it. Doesn't that truck belong to you and me? The US Army is supposed to be non-political. I am thinking of reporting him but do not know who to contact.

1. You down in Cloquet? ETA: Regarding the Army truck, I would call TV stations, the local DFL office, |

and Oberstar's office. I told my kids I thought "Cravaack" sounded like someone vomiting.

3. Yeah Cloquet is a great labor town. Union is still strong. Will take your |
|
advice on the truck. I would imagine Jim Oberstar does not need any help getting elected but some of the others may so exposing this guy might help. That he would have the guts to do this is beyond belief. He may own the old truck but if I remember correctly when my uncle bought some old equipment from the US Army after Korea they were told they had to take the military signs off before using it.

4. I'm up the shore and we came down to Duluth for the picnic. |
|
And yeah, Oberstar doesn't need any help, but his staff might know who to contact with something like that.
I know Jim is never in any danger. It's almost funny how horrid the GOP candidates are every year. Cravaack sent his bus and a couple of volunteers or whatever to the Duluth picnic. Jim was being interviewed by TV and one of the Cravaack people, wearing this bizarre Cravaack baseball jersey, stood there behind the camera and then buttonholed the interviewer when he was done with Jim. But she didn't get on camera, boo hoo hoo.

5. In the Cloquet Cravaack really spent the money. My daughter asked |
|
where one candidate would get that much money to spend. He must have had 6 buses, business trucks and that US Army vehicle plus all kinds of people. Even so Jim Oberstar is going to win. He is very good for our area.

2. You could contact the Federal Elections Commission. |
|
In Minnesota, elections are regulated by the Secretary of State's office.
