Since this outfit is a republican (I mean rethuglican) operation through and through, why is there no liberal counterpart to complete against it? I do not subscribe to the notion that the conserv-a-thieves have the corner on being the better operator of businesses. This is also the case with the Federalist Society until only recently did a liberal counterpart get started! Why are the liberals/progressives always so slow to counter these regressive outfits of the rethugs?

...is that liberals/progressives give their money to causes such as Greenpeace, Sierra Club, etc. -- entities that can better the world for all peoples. The wingnuts give their money to entities that work to perpetuate their narrow ideology. Heritage Foundation, etc.

And you are right. The left is about 40 years behind the right. People like Richard Mellon Scaife spent fortunes building the Vast Right Wing Conspiracy and the Mighty Wurlitzer.
