Operation Chaos: Time to return the favor? |
|
Last time around, because The Republican primary effectively finished early, Rush Limbaugh messed with the Democratic Presidential Primary and tried to weaken Obama by asking Republicans to vote in the Democratic Primary for Hillary Clinton.
This time around, Obama may not have a primary challenger. If that happens, I think it would be neat idea to do the same to the Republicans?
I personally would recommend everyone vote for Michelle Bachmann. That will make 2012 a cakewalk.

1. A cakewalk for Bachmann, perhaps? |
|
A substantial portion of DU seems to be terrified that America will actually vote her in if every one of us doesn't get out on the street screaming unconditional support for Obama.
Either she's a nutcase with no hope of election, or she's a serious threat. You can't have it both ways.

2. This country will never vote for that loon Bachmann.. |
|
If Bachmann or Palin is the nominee in 2012, Obama will be re-elected.

3. It would never vote for complete idiots like Reagan and Bush, either, right? |

4. Reagan and Bush were idiots |

but Bachmann is a whole new level of crazy. IMHO, the country hasn't sunk that low yet.
Maybe if the teabaggers keep up their war on education and science and the rest of the country does not stand up to them, we might end up there in a decade or so. As of now, I still think there is hope yet.

5. I hope you're right, but I think the US has gotten a lot crazier than it was even ten years ago. |

There seems to be no hitting bottom.

6. Reagan wasn't an idiot until he went senile. He was an actor. |
|
He was, in politics, a rather skilled actor. He was also a successful (by their standards, but still...) governor of California. He may have been a willing, smiley-face front for some real creeps, but I don't think he was SOCIALLY stupid.
Bush, I'm not convinced we DID vote for.
