Speeches and Action

I didn't watch the Republican debate or the President's speech. I saw highlights of both, but what now. There are people who think President Obama gave a good speech, had good ideas, and so on. There are people who think it didn't go far enough,was not big enough, not specific enough. While I haven't heard as much insolence and tongue-lashing as usual from the right, I have no belief that the right will come to its senses and actually pass anything but tax cuts. The only way things will change is if the obstructionists get voted out. I don't know if we have enough strength to limp along for another year. I'm afraid and I am tired. What kind of party is willing to kill the country to get rid of the President?
