Look everyone. Personally I've been addressing a dilemma. I honestly like Dean the most, but I believe that Clark is the best shot at winning. That said, I am still doing all I can for Dean, but if Clark wins I'm with him. I'm also letting people know about Clark at the same time. I'd like to see a Clark/Dean ticket. We need a southern state or two to win this think and Clark is the best chance to win Louisiana and Arkansas and Florida. Dean has no chance in these southern states (not counting Florida).
Second, it is not going to matter who our nominee is if the Repukes get more people out there. They won KY and MS by registering 10,000 new republicans and knocking on 200,000 doors to get out the vote (with 35% turnout i hear).
I've already applied to 3 voter groups to go out and register new democrats for the summer. I have a great deal of experience with grassroots and canvassing. On my application I told them that if they sent me to a battleground state I would personally register 1000 new democrats by the election.
SO here's my call! Stop bickering about kerry, dean, clark, et al. Go to your local government office and grab voter registration cards (some states require you to sign a form and read a booklet). Go and register as many democrats as you can and tell them to VOTE! Cause if we can get 2-3% more turnout in these battleground states, we're gonna win no matter what.
If you care about getting Bush out, you will do this!
MEN AND WOMEN OF THE RED-BUT-GONNA-BE-BLUE-STATES TO ARMS! TO ARMS!
Ask me if you want more info. And if you do decided to do this let's come up with a way on DU to see how many people we register and keep track of it. E-mail me and I'll figure it out.

3. From our local paper yesterday after GB visit: |
|
This was stated by the chairman of the Arkansas Federation of College Republicans who is also a member of the state party's executive board- "Clark is just a moderate distraction because he won't even get the nomination. And, whoeve gets it will be out of touch with the South."
The rest of the article explains how important AR was to GB in the 2000 election.
I think the Repubs are counting on the Dems having a nominee who can't win in the South.
Let's prove them wrong!
