I'm on the Bill Press Show on the "Birther" issue: |
|
My complete point:
How the heck does Lou Dobbs get to keep his job?
Dan Rather, ironically, used one of only two existing documents which "proved" that George W. Bush showed up for his National Guard service, and was driven out of his job by a concerted effort.
Lou Dobbs sits there asking "Is Obama really a natural born citizen of the U.S.?", and he gets to keep his job, despite the fact that the whole movement is based on some schlub in his basement claiming that the birth certificate is faked.
Probably the same guy in his Mother's basement that said that he could fake the documents that Rather used.

1. It's Republican against Republican on this issue. |
|
A lot of moderate Republican are becoming very worried that the birther issue is growing in momentum among their idiot friends. This may work to our advantage in the next election if the divide become large enough.

2. They should worry about the Palin worshippers while they're at it. |
|
The same wackos who fall for the Birther crap also swoon over the Inarticulate One.

4. Add "Drill Baby Drill" to the issue that Palin supported during the last election. |
|
The nut cases still believe she was right. Unfortunately this is the majority of the Republican party.

5. why was there never any "birther" level concern about her husband being |

in a separatist movement, whose leader made more outrageous statements than Bill Ayers did, saying that he wouldn't be buried under the American flag?

6. That's where The Hypocrisy Factor comes into play. |
|
Things like this only apply to others, never to them. They can say and do the same things liberals say and do, but it's only outrageous when a liberal does it.
That's why things like Todd Palin's separatist ties were ignored.
That's why David Vitter can cheat on his wife and sit around in a dirty diaper, and it's OK but when Spitzer does the same thing sans dirty diaper, he must resign!
It's how Newt Gingrich can be a respected Republican Party leader after cheating on two wives, one of them while she was being treated for cancer in the hospital.
Bush and Cheney are American heroes to these people, despite Cheney's five deferments and Bush's being AWOL.
They are all hypocrites. They hold others to a loftier standard than they hold themselves, and they just can't see it when it's pointed out to them. Better to deal with their made up truths than reality, I guess. Pathetic, really. They are all pathetic.
