...is turn the American people against their own government. They have convinced many that government regulations that actually protect the consumer are bad and that government is "too big". That social programs need to be cut.
It is a strategy the corporate elite have worked on for years. Weaken government and buy up the remnants for absolute fascist control.

I don't want a big, strong government.
I just want them strong enough to stomp into utter oblivion any corporation that dares to suggest that being incorporated gives them the right to get away with breaking a law - any law.
That's not too much to ask for, is it? That citizens are the strongest, then government, then corporations? (well actually, citizens, then government, then pets, THEN corporations).

hands on it and toward what ends they're using it. Just using the blanket term of "government" helps to conceal much about who is doing what. And it doesn't seem very difficult to tap into the disaffection that's there.
