The plot: Still unfolding.
Lawyers for the Winklevosses and for Facebook and its co-founder, Mark Zuckerberg, faced off in a federal appeals courtroom in San Francisco on Tuesday. While the twins were there, towering over nearly everyone, Mr. Zuckerberg was not.
The twins, who say Mr. Zuckerberg stole the idea from Facebook from them, are claiming that Facebook cheated them on the value of the shares they received in the settlement, leaving them much less than $65 million. Facebook says that’s not true. As the value of Facebook has soared, the settlement is now worth more than $140 million. . .
Whichever way it goes, at this point there is not enough material for a sequel to The Social Network, the Hollywood hit that dramatized the initial battle between Mr. Zuckerberg and the Winklevosses over the founding of Facebook.
