Conservatives don't care that Bush lied. They approve. |
|
It used to puzzle me why bush fans are not upset about the lies and misdirection of the Whitehouse. Conservatives love revenge. And vengeance at any cost is, to them, honorable.
To them it was a pack of lies for a good cause. If everyone loved war as much as they there would be no discussion, bombs would drop in response to any insult, "because they hate us" would be a valid cause to go to war.
The lie was to get "cowardly liberals" to go along with invading a country who was no imminent threat to us. The lie was to keep other countries from rising up against us. Liberals and foreigners are not worthy of respect in their view.
Our congressmen swallowed these baldfaced lies for the purpose of covering their asses if the shit hits the fan. Instead of taking the blame as they should all they have do is point to "faulty intelligence" and they are in the clear.
I hate to lump people into groups, that is a conservative habit, but the conservatives have grouped together in an attempt make America something it was never meant to be, An imperial police state with no respect for the truth. And a thirst for blood.

That's how they operate. Win at any cost, no matter what it takes. The reason we lose so often is that we try to play above the board, honestly. We try to fight fair and make things good for people. They play dirty while pretending to be the good guys, the "moral values" crowd. Scratch beneath their virtuous veneer and they're rotten to the core.

An ex coworker once admitted to me that sure, Bush lied and that the war was wrong but as long as he prevents gay marriages he was still going to vote for him in 04.

If they told the truth nobody but the richest 1% would vote for them.

We voted for Bush because we felt he would deliver on his conservative platform of limited govt, less spending, less taxes, strong military(without the nation building). Unfortunately, instead we got a wolf in sheep's clothing. Trust me, many of us are as furious as you guys.
Incidently, anyone mind if I stick around to get some info? I've given up on my party for the forseeable future and want to see if there are any Dem candidates I could support.
I could also give anyone who's interested a Conservative's point of view if it would matter.

I logged on here to see what all the fuss was about. I am amazed!
Maybe I missed something. What lie are you talking about? And if you are making that accusation against Bush supporters (of which i am not), should you not make the same one against the lies of Bill Clinton?
