Vincent is straight talking with clear evidence. However his statement that words from Bush's mouth would shock the members is false. Which leads me to this question. Most sane individuals have been continually shocked by the obvious criminality of this administration. The evidence has been clear and has shown a litany and continuation of lawlessness.
Because the line has been crossed repeatedly with regards to allowing these crimes to go unpunished regardless of the politicians who acknowledge these crimes and whom we give hero status because of their courage, we have ACCEPTED THE CRIMES.
We will give Vincent a hero status for telling the truth, like so many others. But then is that where it ends? Our story now is simply a continued criminality that we can do nothing except point fingers at and give kudos to the people who correctly state the obvious?
Have we given up in some essential way by allowing and accepting these crimes, hoping that somehow sometime in history, someone smarter then ourselves will actually set things right? That some great police action will put a stop to it in some fairy tale manner within some fairy tale future?
I apologize for my cynicism, but sometimes it seems that all the ranting I see is just that.. victims ranting in their prison cells about their treatment, but seemingly powerless to do anything but accept their fate.
