MIDLAND -- The man who walked Midland's streets in full Knights of Ku Klux Klan regalia while holding a handgun this month says the Republican Party is punishing him for his beliefs.
Randy G. Gray II, 30, of Midland said the Midland County Republican Party Executive Committee has eliminated him as a precinct delegate.
''We have military fighting and dying for me to hold this office,'' he said. ''For these people to throw me out like a dog, that's insane. Just because the party doesn't like my personal beliefs doesn't give them the right.''
