A few observations about the "preservatives": |
|
Have you noticed that Republican arguments have a tendency to stretch the bounds of logic and honesty? Most people can get away with that occasionally, but for Republicans--it's nothing less than a modus operandi.
They pride themselves on being the defenders of the indefensible. Perhaps one day they'll realize that it's usually not a virtue to defend the indefensible.
Republicans need to demonize liberalism in order to disguise the void at the core of their value system. Making feces pass for food takes no less than to turn the world on its head.

I often found myself stretching the bounds of logic and honesty. My father used to say, "Either you're stupid, or you think I'm stupid."

I found your thread because I did a search on the word "rebellious". I was expecting to find threads about corporate vs. rebellious people, or religious doctrine vs. rebellious heathens, etc.
But yes, republicans are definitely in denial. They would do well with some counseling to be more honest with themselves.

Conservatives suffer from liberal envy. They covet our natural ability to wield the wand of progress.

Liberals are the natural guides of progress. Rather than humble themselves to liberals, conservatives choose to become the enemies of progress. They reinvent brutal, melancholy philosophies to justify the undeniably villainous quality of their motives and actions.
According to their brightest thinkers, we've been going the wrong way for millennia.
As I said before, their work is to turn the world on its head.
