In the new session, The Democrats can write tax cuts the way they want them-for the middle class. The repugnants will forward a bill with tax cuts for the rich. The President should veto any bill that cuts taxes for the rich. Let the people know that the repugnants won't send the President a bill unless they get tax cuts for the rich. keep the pressure on until the repugnants break under pressure from the public. period.

6. those should be a no-brainer. |

let the public get enraged about them too. We shouldn't have to trade away things for them. We shouldn't have to negotiate with terrorists. Let them run out and just make sure the rage is aimed where it should be.

This is nothing more than a bunch of right wing "terrorists" holding people with out work hostage so the rich can get more money, and that won't play well at all with the public, as polls are already showing! Force their hand and then come back next year time after time with a bill for tax cuts for the middle class only, and let the republicans keep on preventing them from passing. As for unemployment, put it up for a vote everyday and hold congress in session right on through the holidays if they have to, and make them back down! Republicans are doing this because they think democrats don't have the guts to stand up to them. If republicans keep voting NO for unemployment extensions they will be getting raked over the coals by the voters at home! Let the phones ring off the hooks, flood them with mail and e-mail. They will buckle if democrats stand up to them and force their hand!
Sadly I don't think that will happen, but I can always hope!

10. Meanwhile, the people will do without. I agree we shouldn't have |

to trade away things, but there's no guarantee we'd get passage from them if we offered it as a stand-alone.
In theory, I agree, in fact, I wouldn't put anything past the Republicans. If people who are hurting weren't the pawns, I'd say go for it.
It never should have come to this anyway. We knew this was coming for ten fucking years! This is insane and infuriating. :grr:

that the repugs wont send the President a bill unless they get tax cuts for themselves, they don't care about the rest of the rich people only themselves.
