Another accident at the BP refinery. Chemical leak in Texas City, TX

Description:
There was a brief scare today at BP in Texas City following a leak at the refinery. A pump on a unit leaked a small amount of hydrocarbons about noon.

A shelter in place order was issued for some workers until the problem was found and fixed on the Alke 3 unit inside the refinery.

The city issued a Level 2 alert during the leak that was stopped within an hour. No one was injured because of the leak.
