Man being investigated for animal cruelty reports lotions and perfumes as "suspicious package"

CAPE CORAL: A Cape Coral resident called the Cape Coral Police about a suspicious package wrapped in a brown paper bag with string around it.

The victim, Allen Davis Jr, said an unknown package was dropped on his property by his front gate. Davis told the officer he is involved in an investigation for animal cruelty and had to go to court to testify.

The Lee County Sheriff’s Office and Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office also responded to the scene.

When the suspicious package was opened, it contained lotions and perfumes Davis’ wife had been expecting.
