A suspicious package found at North Broward Medical Center Friday morning turned out to be a remote control, the Broward Sheriff's Office said.
It posed no threat to the hospital.
Hospital officials spotted the device about 8:40 a.m. and called authorities. A BSO bomb squad was called to the scene, 201 E. Sample Rd. in Deerfield Beach, to check out the ``suspicious package.''
The campus was never evacuated.
Authorities later said the device was a keyless remote control for a vehicle. It had duct tape wrapped around it to keep it together, BSO said.http://www.miamiherald.com/416/story/147983.html
