LOUISVILLE (WAVE) -- Police evacuated the PNC Bank at 5021 South 3rd Street about 4 p.m. Tuesday after a man told tellers he was armed and demanded cash, then left behind a package he said contained a bomb.
Surveillance photos show the suspect wearing a brown and tan baseball cap, tan long sleeve pullover shirt with a logo on the left breast, dark pants and brown or tan work boots. He had a blue and white bandanna tied around his face.
The bank and the surrounding area remained evacuated while police called in the bomb squad to investigate the package. They executed a controlled detonation around 8 p.m. and determined that the package did not contain anything dangerous.
