A Hometown man faces criminal charges after he told an usher at Parkview Christian Church in Orland Park Sunday he had a bomb in his briefcase.
Frank M. Weber, 51, of South Kolin Ave., Hometown, was charged with a class three felony for disorderly conduct, Orland Park Police Cmdr. Chuck Doll said.

"We asked police if people should evacuate, but they felt it would be best to carry on with things as normal or people could scramble if a bomb is mentioned," he said.
Harlow estimated about a third of the 3,500-member congregation was present at the time.
