The families of Fatah al-Islam fighters holed up in a Palestinian refugee camp in northern Lebanon are expected to leave after agreeing to a temporary truce with the army.
The leader of a delegation trying to mediate an end to the standoff said on Friday that the military had accepted a series of conditions to allow the evacuation to go ahead.
"Abu Salim Taha
contacted us again overnight and said that the civilians are ready to leave the camp and that they number 63; 22 women and 41 children," Sheikh Mohammed Hajj said.
Negotiations on the evacuation began overnight on Monday when Taha contacted Hajj.
