Police quickly untangled a situation on Thursday afternoon, when they determined a "suspicious package" left outside a Regina apartment building was merely a box of shampoo samples.
City police spokeswoman Elizabeth Popowich said the caretaker of an apartment block on Cavendish Street called police at about 2 p.m., after seeing a man approach the building on foot and leave a cardboard box at the scene.

"It wasn't believed there was any malicious intent," Popowich said, adding the box was probably left at the scene innocently as part of a promotion.
