PASCAGOULA -- A bomb threat called into Northrop Grumman Ship Systems briefly interrupted work Monday on a U.S. Navy warship.
"We received information that a bomb was on one of our ships," said Northrop Grumman spokesman Bill Glenn. "We evacuated everyone on the ship and we thoroughly searched the ship."
Glenn said that Northrop Grumman security did not find a bomb on the ship. Once the ship was cleared, he said workers returned to their jobs.
Glenn said the bomb threat was called in late Monday morning. He declined to comment on which ship was named in the bomb threat or if the call came from inside the shipyard or outside the shipyard.
