Water is too safe. Why not threaten terrorists with Marijuana-boarding? |
|
Although many Americans aren't receptive to the anti-drug message, can't we hope that at least the terrorist masterminds who are living among us have gotten the message?
Terrorists are supposed to be in the serious business of terrorism. They aren't supposed to be a bunch of degenerate hippies of terrorism. Their slogan is supposed to be "death to America", not "death to America or at least let's get high."
Are terrorists prepared to risk the shameful possibility of incarceration for drug offenses? Imagine the irony of someone executing a flawless terrorist scheme and then spending many years in prison on an unrelated drug offense. Terrorists cannot afford to get hooked on drugs.
It's simply not realistic to expect a suspected terrorist to get addicted to waterboarding. If forcing marijuana on a suspected terrorist is a policy that is too soft on terrorism because marijuana is a soft drug, then why not force harder drugs on suspected terrorists?
