The Abu Graihb photos show just one side of the story. |

What about the dozens of ticking time-bombs that were stopped using info obtained specifically via the procedures graphically illustrated in the Abu Graihb photos? There have been dozens of them, right? No? Would you believe one dozen? How about six? Would you believe a number greater than zero?

4. The only thing that torture is useful for |
|
is obtaining false confessions.
That's why it's used; guilt, innocence, whether you can gain useful information is all a crock.

6. Yeah, that too.......but it works |
|
by making people confess to whatever they're accused of to make the pain stop. It's an outrageous and ridiculous step for the US to take.

7. Abu Graihb was a crude advertisement by the Bush Administration to the Iraqis about who was boss |
|
Saddam had been ousted, and there was whole new leadership running the show. One of their favorite psychological torture techniques was to play loud rock and roll music to the prisoners.
The number one song played was by the Who:
Won't Get Fooled Again
Yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!
Meet the new boss Same as the old boss

8. How can you tell if they are a ticking bomb before they go off? |
|
Who decides if they are a ticking bomb anyway? And what are the criteria? If I was going to be a ticking bomb, I would dress like Joe Six-pack, wear flag underwear, and drive around in a big pickup with little yellow ribbons on the back. You can put a lot of explosives into a truck, as Tim McVeigh demonstrated.

Ahhhhh the days...
A sunny stroll through the green zone, eating in the mess tent....
Stacking Iraqis into piles and taking pictures.
It was the best of times, it was the worst of times.
