If they have run across a Fast and Furious rifle ? After they tried to pin it all on Carter's Country and got busted for that too , it became obvious that this was happening in Texas as well as Arizona , so the odds of one showing up down here became somewhat better although slim .

These will certainly bring a high price in the collectors market . But the pressing question remains as to the legality of merely possessing one of these rifles ..and is the serial number list in one of those reams of all black , heavily redacted info that was presented to the investigators during discovery ? A black piece of paper doesn't help me any more in proving the provenience of the weapon than it does in proving someone else is an accessory to murder , treason , and an act of war .

1. my guess is that the straw buyer worked for

ATF or they got the serial numbers off of the 4473s to see where they go.

2. There were five buyers

That moved all that metal ....in AZ . But there were more in Texas that they started busting at the beginning of the year when the soylent brown started to fly . Where is this list is the question . And since I am not a prohibited person can I own one , or is "too large a risk to national security*" ?

3. The assumption is...

that the F&F firearms were to be sold to people who could not legally posses them (either due to the fact that they could have federal disqualifications, or they were headed across the border where the gun laws are completely different).

Assuming a person here were to acquire one, and they had nothing on their records that would prohibit them from owning firearms, I can't see any legal problem with owning/possessing one.
